Variety description

The ornamental sweet potato Sugarbeauty® 'Little Lady Fingerleaf®' is probably the most compact ornamental sweet potato in the range with a shoot length of just 40 cm. The compact Sugarbeauty® 'Little Lady Fingerleaf®' is therefore ideal for planting/cultivating in a large pot and /or container on a balcony or patio. However, Sugarbeauty® 'Little Lady Fingerleaf®' also looks good when planted out. The dark green leaves are five-lobed and look like the fingers of a hand. Sugarbeauty® 'Little Lady Fingerleaf®' has a development time of around 110 - 120 days, but can also be left a little longer if the autumn weather and the general condition of the plants allow it.

The tubers of Sugarbeauty® 'Little Lady Fingerleaf®' have bright red-purple skin and beautiful, pure white flesh. This colour combination creates a very beautiful and striking contrast. Sugarbeauty® 'Little Lady Fingerleaf®' is not only visually convincing but also flavourful. Sugarbeauty® 'Little Lady Fingerleaf®' is also a real delight in terms of taste. When cooked, the tubers taste extremely sweet, like many white-fleshed sweet potatoes. But Sugarbeauty® 'Little Lady Fingerleaf®' not only tastes flatly sweet but also has clear fruity notes. Where Sugarbeauty® 'Little Lady Hostaleaf®' acquires a melting texture when cooked, Sugarbeauty® 'Little Lady Fingerleaf®' retains a pleasant bite even when cooked.
