Growth: Medium to strong growth, training as a stick tomato with 1 to 2 main shoots, cut through, remove leaves from the lowest 40-50cm of the main shoots

Ripeness/Harvest: If strong tomato young plants are planted early in May, the first ripe fruits will appear from mid-July

Taste: very crunchy, a wonderful bite into it, but the firmness doesn't have a negative effect, just lively and crunchy; then follows the most intense sweetness of all current Open Sky® outdoor tomato young plants, but underscored by good freshness and acidity. A real tomato treat!

Variety description

With the red cherry tomato Open Sky® 'Sugared®' we can offer a complete range of colors for the small-fruited Open Sky® cherry tomatoes. As the variety name 'Sugared®' already suggests, the small red fruits of Open Sky® 'Sugared®' are very sweet and also have a fruity taste, just like a cherry tomato should be. The fruits of Open Sky® 'Sugared®' have a slightly firmer, but still not unpleasant fruit skin, which causes the fruit to burst open when you bite into it and you have a wonderful mouthfeel.
The plants of Open Sky® 'Sugared®' are also quite vigorous and, like all cherry tomatoes in the Open Sky® range, should be grown with 2 sprouts. Thus, the length growth is significantly reduced by a richer stocking with panicles of flowers, and later also with fruits, which makes maintenance in the garden a lot easier.
