Variety description

The salmon raspberry 'Pacific Rose' is the single-flowering sister variety of 'Olympic Double'. The simple flowers are not as spectacular but still beautiful to look at. The flowers of 'Pacific Rose' appear on the biennial and perennial shoots - you read that right, also on the perennial shoots. In our experience, 'Pacific Rose' tends to sprout again from perennial wood, especially in mild (wine-growing climate) or maritime locations, and while not completely forgetting the two-year development cycle - typical for raspberries - at least somewhat ignores it.
The fruits are large, raspberry-like fruits – the 'Pacific Rose' salmon raspberry is not a real raspberry in the botanical sense, but only a close relative from the Pacific Northwest of the USA – radiant in red and orange tones and have a mildly aromatic and sweet taste.
