Variety description

The outdoor bush tomato OpenSky® 'Schlingel Moritz®' is an extremely easy-care and rewarding tomato variety. The bush tomato OpenSky® 'Schlingel Moritz®' also impresses with its compact growth and high yield. With a final height of just 75 cm, OpenSky® 'Schlingel Moritz®' is even more compact than its sister variety OpenSky® 'Schlingel Max®', but at around 100 cm it is just as wide. There is also little difference in yield between the two sister varieties. However, OpenSky® 'Schlingel Moritz®' has slightly larger fruits, but OpenSky® 'Schlingel Moritz®' does not produce quite as many fruits per plant as its sister variety, for example.

As mentioned, the fruits of OpenSky® 'Schlingel Moritz®' are a little larger than those of OpenSky® 'Schlingel Max®', but they are still a good size for a cocktail tomato. OpenSky® 'Schlingel Moritz®' is not only impressive in terms of plant cultivation, but also in terms of taste. OpenSky® 'Schlingel Moritz®' tastes mild and fruity and has a good tomato aroma. OpenSky® 'Schlingel Moritz®' is also a little sweeter than its sister variety, but it does not taste cloyingly sweet, but has a very balanced ratio between sweetness and acidity.

Like all OpenSky® outdoor tomatoes, OpenSky® 'Schlingel Moritz®' is highly tolerant to Phytophthora and Alternaria and the end of the harvest is only determined by the first night frosts in autumn.
