Variety description

The OpenSky® Schlingel Max® bush tomato is a very unusual bush tomato. OpenSky® Schlingel Max® is also a very good outdoor tomato, an outdoor bush tomato if you like. Bush tomatoes have the advantage over classic stake tomatoes that you don't have to thin out the shoots and you can just let the plants grow. This cultivation method gives you plants that are a good 80 cm high and about 100 cm wide. You should expect each bush tomato to require around 1m² of space in the garden.

The first ripe OpenSky® Schlingel Max® tomatoes can be harvested as early as July. However, this is only the beginning of the harvest window. The OpenSky® Schlingel Max® harvest is actually only really over with the first frosts in autumn. Over this period, more than 100 fruits can be harvested per plant. The OpenSky® Schlingel Max® tomatoes are classic cocktail tomatoes in terms of their shape and size, beautifully even, round and neither too light nor too dark in red. In terms of taste, OpenSky® Schlingel Max® is, as expected, not as sweet as other cocktail tomatoes but is still the favorite at every tasting. The fruits of OpenSky® Schlingel Max® have a good vegetable tomato aroma with a pleasant spiciness.
