Variety description

Parfum® 'Freeclimber'® does not climb by itself, of course, but must be tied up on a suitable trellis. Naturally strong-growing and healthy, this everbearing strawberry forms runners extremely quickly. By tying up the runners, regular strawberry pyramids or walls are quickly formed. If the very first flowers are removed, the runner formation is further increased.

Parfum® 'Freeclimber'® is a typical everbearing strawberry that flowers and fruits throughout the summer. The berries are large, aromatically sweet and above all with a wild berry aftertaste. A pleasure that tastes much better than what is usually available in the grocery store. The yields are also very good and spread over the entire summer.

Parfum® 'Freeclimber'® requires a sunny location and a good supply of water and fertiliser. The runners are all cut away in late autumn. A 2nd and 3rd year of growth is usually possible without any problems. In the spring, remove the first flower stems to encourage the formation of runners.
