Variety description

The 'Favorite' pomegranate is one of the hardiest varieties. A very compact shrub that bears bright orange flowers and delicious fruit for late autumn harvest. The pomegranate Favorite is easy to care for and self-fertile. The rather small, sweet fruits begin to bear a year or two after planting this shrub. The flesh is bright red and extremely delicious.
A sheltered location such as a walled courtyard is ideal for planting out the tropical fruit. The fruits set in all locations, but only ripen in warm climates. Alternatively, the variety can be grown as an easy-care container plant.
