Variety description

The sea buckthorn 'Botanica' comes from Eastern Europe. Compared to other sea buckthorn varieties, it stands out due to its early ripening period and relatively mild berries with less acidity. Harvesting begins as early as August and the bushes are very decorative at this time. The yield can be 15 - 20 kg after a few years. Those who know the classic German varieties will be very positively surprised at the latest when they harvest: 'Botanica' has significantly fewer thorns...

Like all sea buckthorns, 'Botanica' is also dependent on a pollinator. We recommend 'Pollmix'. The robust shrub grows around 3 - 4 m tall, upright and branched.
