Variety description

Firstberries® and thus also the Firstberry® 'Aurora' are our selections from Japanese origin, which taste somewhat fruitier than the usual blue honeysuckles of Russian origin.
'Aurora' actually means aurora borealis, the shimmering light, so to speak, the bright appearance of a new shrub berry that perhaps has a great future ahead of it.

Firstberries® are basically all the first bush berries to ripen in the garden year - as early as the end of May and beginning of June. They also immediately evoke associations with blueberries, although in comparison they taste rather "green" and somewhat sour. But their anthocyanin content is enormous, and the berries have an extremely strong colour. What looks like this must almost inevitably be healthy - in other words, this is superfood in its purest form.

It should be noted that all Firstberries®, which are often also called mayberries or honeyberries, are not self-fertile. This means that you always need at least two plants.
