Variety description

Among the standard varieties, 'Timperley Early' is one of the earliest varieties and the earliest variety in our range after Springbarber® Kickoff®. With rhubarb, early means a particularly early shoot and thus a comparatively early harvest of the first leaf stalks. An early variety is also always better for forcing or bleaching. With 'Timperley Early' you can already expect the first harvest at the beginning of April.
In addition, 'Timperley Early' is a relatively green rhubarb variety and is only slightly pink in color at the base. As with many rhubarbs, the taste of 'Timperley Early' is typically sour.
