Variety description

With the Twotimer® raspberries, Lubera® was a real pioneer in raspberry breeding. What is already standard for raspberries in fruit cultivation today was still something unusual when 'Sugana' was launched. To date, there have been either summer raspberries or autumn raspberries, i.e. varieties where only the one-year-old or two-year-old shoots have been harvested. With 'Sugana', on the other hand, the shoots could be harvested twice. The first time in late summer and the second time - after the winter - in early summer. Each with the same fruit quality.
The Twotimer® raspberry 'Sugana' is characterized by strong growth with upright rods, which are covered with spines. The large and bright red fruits of 'Sugana' have a relatively firm texture but are still juicy. The taste is aromatic-sweet, paired with a pleasant acidity.
