Variety description

Rubel' has somewhat smaller berries, but shines with inner values. The taste is better than that of many other cultivated blueberries, very aromatic and sweet with acidity. In addition, there are high levels of healthy antioxidants. Conclusion: 'Rubel' is healthy and tastes even better, definitely a good choice! Wonderful for snacking but also for baking and processing.
As far as care is concerned, there is another special feature: 'Rubel' does not like wet soil, apart from that it is very healthy. Frost hardiness is good. After 3 - 4 years, the oldest shoot is cut away every winter to encourage new growth. As with all cultivated blueberries, only use acidic fertilizers.
