Variety description

With the Paradis® 'Werdenberg®' apple tree you can bring a dessert-quality summer apple into your home garden. The medium-sized to large apples from Paradis® 'Werdenberg®' are flat-ribbed in shape and the peel is bright pink-orange flamed. The apples are ready to pick and eat as early as mid-August, so they can be enjoyed straight from the tree. The apples stay in storage for a comparatively short time, until the end of September. But that doesn't play a big role, since from this point on the next varieties are already ready to be picked and enjoyed. The taste of Paradis® 'Werdenberg®' changes slightly with increasing maturity and storage time. Immediately after harvesting, the fruits taste refreshingly sour, but also contain a lot of sugar. As apples ripen and are stored for longer, they become sweeter and sweeter.

Paradis® 'Werdenberg®' is a comparatively slow-growing tree and forms rather compact trees. Paradis® 'Werdenberg®' is also completely scab-resistant.
