Variety description

With the Paradis® 'Sparkling®' apple tree, we were able to introduce a new type of apple texture. The Paradis® 'Sparkling®' apples stand out with their exploding freshness. This comes from a very firm texture combined with large cells and very strong cell walls. If you bite into an apple like this, the cells described release the fruit juice explosively. This ensures a distinctive and incomparable mouthfeel when enjoying Paradis® 'Sparkling®' apples. The apples themselves are medium to large in size, with red stripes; when they are ripe, the apples have a yellow base color. Paradis® 'Sparkling®' begins to ripen for picking in the first half of October. It has been shown that multiple picking rounds have a more positive effect than harvesting all the apples at one time. This means you have the opportunity to harvest all apples at the ideal time of ripeness. The Paradis® 'Sparkling®' apples are ready to eat straight from the tree and taste sweet and sour, just like an apple should taste. With increasing maturity, the sugar becomes more and more dominant, but due to the always clear but pleasant acidity, Paradis® 'Sparkling®' always has a refreshing, albeit sweet, taste.

The Paradis® 'Sparkling®' trees are fast-growing and require regular pruning measures, especially when they are young. Like all apple varieties from the Lubera® Paradis® series, Paradis® 'Sparkling®' is scab-resistant.
