Variety description

The mulberry 'Mulle' is a Swedish variety. It tolerates much lower winter temperatures than the other mulberries in the range. Nevertheless, 'Mulle' loves a warm, sunny location.
'Mulle' grows vigorously and reaches a height of around 4 m over the years. However, the variety can also be made smaller by regular winter pruning. To do this, cut back last year's shoots by no more than half in late winter. 'Mulle' can be grown as a tree, but we recommend the shrub form because of its bushy, well-branching growth. In the first years of standing, the plant should be well supplied with nutrients.
