Variety description

With the variety Open Sky® 'Morningsun®' we also have a yellow cherry tomato on offer. The warm yellow fruits are classic cherry tomato sized and slightly oval in shape. Open Sky® 'Morningsun®' can already be picked when it is yellow-green, but then it does not have quite as much sugar and the acidity is slightly predominant. When fully ripe, the gleben fruits then have an extremely fruity taste, which comes from a very good and balanced ratio between sugar and acid. Various feedback from different locations has shown that Open Sky® 'Morningsun®' – despite the yellow fruits – is probably the best-tasting variety in the Open Sky® tomato range.
As with the other Open Sky® cherry tomatoes, the plants of Open Sky® 'Morningsun®' are very fast-growing and should definitely be grown with 2 sprouts. This not only reduces the growth performance, but also increases the yield through more flowers.
