Variety description

The columnar apple Malini® 'Subito®' is the taste counterpart to Malini® 'Pronto®'. Where 'Pronto®' is the very sweet apple, Malini® 'Subito®' is the tangy, spicier apple. The medium to large apples are pink-orange in color and have a good bite and also a good sugar content. The ripening period of Malini® 'Subito®' begins around the third week of August. The apples are ready to eat straight from the tree and can be harvested directly from the tree over several weeks as they retain their crunch. Malini® 'Subito®' can also be stored for up to 6 weeks.

The Malini® 'Subito®' columnar apple tree is one of the slightly weaker-growing Malini® columnar apples and reaches a height of up to 200 cm. This means it fits into any garden and is even suitable for a pot. Like all Lubera® apples, Malini® 'Subito®' is scab resistant.
