Variety description

The peanut is the nut that sticks its head into the "sand" - from which the peanuts emerge. Thanks to our extensive search for suitable varieties, the peanut, which originates from the Andes, can now also be grown in our latitudes.
The peanut 'JustBehappy'® is grown here as an annual.

Botanically, it is not a nut, but a legume (Fabaceae) and in other words: it is a bean. Fabaceae are able to bind atmospheric nitrogen via their roots - similar to clover. The peanut 'JustBehappy'® manifests the great diversity with its pretty, two-coloured kernels.

Peanuts are planted as young plants in May. They are very vigorous and require little care. They are harvested in mid-September or as soon as the foliage (> 50 %) has turned brown. The nuts are dried immediately after harvesting and can be eaten without roasting.
