Variety description

The Jostabeere Jogusto® is a late-ripening Confi® berry that can only be harvested at the beginning of August. It offers a welcome staggering of harvest time, as nearly all berries on the bush are ripe in June and July. Jogusto® grows vigorously and reaches a height of 170-180 cm with almost the same width. This makes it also suitable as a hedge plant or in a mixed berry or wild fruit hedge. Jogusto® is significantly more fertile than older varieties. The berries are large to very large and ideal for processing into jams, jellies and smoothies. Pruning should only be done after the first 3-4 years by removing 1-2 old main branches. Jogusto® is resistant to leaf fall disease and powdery mildew and can be grown without pesticides.
