Variety description

The 'Haidegg 17' elderberry is a high-yielding variety from Klosterneuburg in Austria, which impresses with particularly large yields. The shrub grows up to 4 meters high and wide, is robust, easy to care for and insensitive to frost, cold and wind. It is ideal for home gardens and commercial cultivation. In early summer, the large umbels of flowers form a cloud of fragrance, in autumn the bush is full of black berries. The berries have a strong taste and can be processed into juices, jellies or jams. Ideal as a solitaire or for wild fruit hedges. Incidentally, birds also like to snack on 'Haidegg 17' elderberry.
