Variety description

The 'Glaskins Perpetual' rhubarb variety, as the name suggests, is said to be a rhubarb that forms new leaves throughout the growing season. This strain is also said to have low oxalic acid levels. Both together indicate that 'Glaskins Perpetual' can still be ducked after the end of June. However, we advise against this, as we do not believe that the summer growth is strong enough to compensate for a harvest.
'Glaskins Perpetual' is a fast growing variety with green fleshy stems. Outside, the petioles are colored red in the lower half and green in the upper half. Depending on the time and location, this red coloring can be more or less intense.
