Variety description

The rhubarb variety 'Fulton's Strawberry Surprise' was once recognized as the best tasting rhubarb by the British RHS - the Royal Horticultural Society. Especially with a look at the Springbarber® and the Everbarber® varieties, we can no longer confirm this.
Otherwise 'Fulton's Strawberry Surprise' is a medium-growing rhubarb variety with attractive, green-fleshed petioles. Outside, the leaf stalks are colored strawberry-red in the lower third. This red color then turns into a light yellowish green towards the base of the leaf. 'Fulton's Strawberry Surprise' is a pure spring rhubarb and should be harvested no later than Midsummer Day.
